Presto....

House BEFORE the project....

CHANGE-O!!!!  Ta DAH!!!!!

After it was all said and done!  LOVE it!
The house project has come to completion!  Or at least...most of it.  For now anyway.  The builder still has to put a few finishing touches on...like installing our ceiling fan on the new back patio (which has been ordered but isn't in yet),  and touching up a few things here and there.  But by and large, the big, huge, messy, LOUD part of the project is DONE!  So here it is...our home sweet home!  I feel like we've moved into a whole new house...only without the packing and unpacking!  SWEEEEEET!

The Long Awaited "First Date" Pictures

I know.  I have been slacking as keeper of the blog.  Dragging my feet and doing other things instead of posting the pictures that everyone has been waiting for.  I apologize.  But I've had my nose in first one good book (which I finished), and then another (which I ALMOST picked up again instead of updating this blog!), my hands in the laundry, my arms in the gym and my head trying to get wrapped around all these kids and their crazy schedules!  And when I've had some downtime (and believe me...there has been precious little), I've just wanted to...well...sit down.  And not move.  At all.  And sleep if at all possible, because quite frankly...I'm tired!  But all excuses aside...I'm back at it and without further ado...HERE are the pictures!  Meet Max, (well, you already KNOW him...but it sounds good on the blog so just roll with it) and his lovely date, Mattie.  Homecoming 2010, Grapevine High School, Grapevine, Texas.
Max and Mattie...notice the awkwad space between them.

At least smiling now.  Doesn't Max look particularly handsome in this picture?  I think so!  And notice the mum dragging the ground.  Mattie was a bit short for our 2010 creation!  Note to self...measure date for next year's mum!  Who knew you'd need a FITTING for these crazy things?!

Soooooo cute!

This after some encouragement from mom to actually stand kind of close together like they might be attending the same function.  Together.  As two people who enjoyed each other.

Max and Mattie with friend Austin. Austin is sporting the boy version of the great Texan Mum tradition.  Mattie, being new to all of this herself, did not make one for Max.  Oh well...next year?!
